🍂 What’s in season at The Ranch?

Fall is here…I'm not 100% happy about it...yet.. Summer is my favorite season, so it takes me a bit to get into the groove and to get excited about sweater weather.

It's also the time when the garden is wrapping up, but we're still pulling yummy tomatoes off the vine. 14 pounds of them last week…hence the pic of my canning project 👆. (Tomato topping for bruschetta and a simple tomato sauce from Chicca’s Cooking Club.)

Since I finished the FIFA World Cup 2026 project at the beginning of August, I was able to really enjoy the rest of summer. I sprinkled in a few retreats and strategy sessions with City of Portland clients. Now I’m feeling the need to be productive again.

With the World Cup behind me, I'm looking for my next project. Maybe you have a project that's just getting started, one that needs some triage, or one that's about to go off the rails and needs refocusing.

My sweet spot is jumping in quickly and getting things moving in the right direction.

+ If you have a project or event in the works, let’s talk.

+ If you know folks in your network with a project or event coming up, please pass along my information.

Save the Date: Vision Board + Take Action Retreat

You know I believe in vision boards. The one I made in 2014 led me to The Ranch. The one on my phone got me to the World Cup.

On Friday, November 13, I'm opening up The Ranch for a full day that's half vision board workshop, half planning retreat. We'll start with who you want to be, then dream big with magazines, scissors, and glue sticks, and turn that vision into a few concrete next steps.

Leave the city in your rearview mirror, meet some new accountabilibuddies, and start 2027 as the person you want to be.

Save the date... or better yet, take action and sign up.

Rockstar Community Builders

Do you know what happens when two creative Portland moms decide to take on a project? Inspired action, truly.

Ashley and Elizabeth from the Sellwood Community House are turning old, outdated park facilities into enchanted community experiences.

Two Truths and a Lie

Can you spot the lie?

  1. Imagining that you've already reached your goal gives you more energy to go after it.

  2. One in five small business owners used a vision board when they started their business.

  3. Sending a friend weekly progress updates nearly doubled people's success with their goals.

Send me an email (hello@peachcheesecakeranch.com), and I’ll tell you the lie and send you the documentation to support the truths.

Minestrone Ranch Style (aka Quick and Easy Bean Soup)

I have a very fond memory of the first time I had this delicious soup. I was on a trip to the mountains of SoCal for a snowboarding sales meeting. I was able to stop in at my mom’s house before heading to my meeting. Mom, of course, had dinner ready. The melty parm and the crusty bread dipped into the soup – oh, so good! I’ll be using the tomato sauce I canned for this recipe all fall.

That's what's in season around here. I'm looking forward to rolling my sleeves back up with a juicy new project. If you've got one, you know where to find me.
